Thirty things before 30

Instead of creating a bucket list in the traditional sense (things I want to do before I kick the bucket…), I went with something different. I decided to write a list of things I want to do before I turn 30 (scary thought!). Here it is!

  • Buy an instant camera
  • Read the Lord of the Rings trilogy
  • Submit something for publication
  • Watch Gone with the Wind
  • Get my BSc. Consumer Sciences degree (post here)
  • Complete my honours degree
  • Buy a painting
  • Have a picnic (post here)
  • Go on a roadtrip with friends
  • Get my driver’s licence
  • Go to a music concert (post here)
  • Read through the Bible
  • Learn to crochet (post here)
  • Do a 30 Day Photography Challenge (post here)
  • Bake a farm-style bread
  • Learn more about Photoshop
  • Go to the drive-in (post here)
  • Sew a bag
  • Have a photoshoot with my family
  • Learn HTML and CSS
  • Buy a vintage typewriter
  • Have a spa day (post here)
  • Go to the Neighbourgoods Market in Johannesburg (post here)
  • See the flowers in Namakwaland
  • Do 10 random acts of kindness
  • Take my parents out for lunch/dinner
  • Learn to change a tyre
  • Eat sushi (post here)
  • Learn to make French macarons (post here)
  • Start keeping a regular journal

Thank you! I hope I’ll get to finish most of the things on my list in time. I have about 10 months left 🙂

You’re welcome, Lauren! You take some really lovely photos! I would love to, but getting my teenage brother on board for a photoshoot is unfortunately mission impossible…I’m still working on him 😀
