Weekend Treasures

Hello dear readers! Wow, I haven’t been here in a while. Good news is that my honours dissertation is done and dusted. After almost 6 months of hard work it feels amazing to submit a 40-page dissertation. I just have one presentation left on Thursday and then my life as a student is over. I’ve also been crafting up a storm for a local Christmas night market I’ll be selling at. Hopefully I’ll get enough stock done before the 30th of November! Will keep you updated and maybe share some pics. As per usual, today’s post features some link love and things I’ve learnt recently.

Here are links to some cool things I found over the weekend:

  1. Ruche does it again with a ballet-inspired lookbook. So pretty!
  2. Cassandra Featonby’s project limited range of rope jewelry for Mr Price – I think I’ll have to add one of these pieces to my collection.
  3. Beautiful clothes from Hermanna Rush. May I have one of each, please?
  4. 50 DIY Days of Christmas over at Paper Mama. I look forward to following this series and maybe attempting a few DIYs.
  5. Some inspiring blog mood boards from the Blogging Your Way e-course on decor8. I think mood boards are a great way to define your style and get a clear picture of where your blog/project is heading.

Here are 5 things I learnt recently:

  1. Ice-cream on a hot day is pure bliss.
  2. Seeing all the Christmas decorations and goodies in stores makes me feel like a kid again!
  3. Crochet is a great stress-management tool. Also, job interviews are a great cause of stress. I’m trying to balance the two out…
  4. Technical editing and proofreading a dissertation takes FOREVER.
  5. Etsy has some amazing advice for crafters who want to start selling their handiwork, such as pricing advice, craft show displays and even what to pack to a craft show.

Hope you have a great week, dear readers! What have you learnt recently?
